Disaster Preparedness

Legion mission

 The mission of the American Legion includes support for our community's disaster preparedness.  Post 119 specifically does this by:

  • designation of the Legion facility as a Red Cross Temporary Emergency Shelter for Estes Park
  • support for the 911 Explorer Scout Troop
  • provision of office and antenna space to the Estes Valley Amateur Radio Club (see below).

 QSL Cards which are postcards used to acknowledge a contact. Amateur radio operators exchange QSL cards to confirm two-way radio contact between distant or international stations.
